Position: Situated between the villages of La Bussiere-sur-Ouche and La Forge in the idyllic lush Ouche valley within a minute’s walk to the local grocers, bakers and bar. Two restaurants within walking distance, one at the hotel Abbaye de Labussiere and one which sits on the canal just one lock down from La Bussiere. The impossibly pretty perched village of Chateauneuf is just over the hill and the stunning cities of Beaune and Dijon and their surrounding vineyards producing wines of world reknown are both within half an hour’s drive. The house is situated on the road that banks the River Ouche and the Canal de Bourgogne and runs the length of the Ouche valley. Small enclosed garden to the rear with attractive covered terrace and large table, chairs, and barbecue/open fireplace, perfect for ‘al fresco’ dining. Plunge pool (3m diameter).

Renovated with great care and attention, entrance to this well-equipped house is through the dining room with table and chairs and original terracotta ‘tommettes’ tiling. Bathroom with bath, separate shower and wc and washing machine. Well-equipped fitted kitchen with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, cafetiere and toaster. Tumble dryer in cupboard outside. Upstairs, large double bedroom with access to the back garden. Spacious lounge with sofa (can be a sofa-bed) and comfortable chairs, television, video with a few tapes, DVD, books, Hi-Fi (CD and cassette). Up a further flight of stairs to two twins which share a shower room with two sinks and wc. The owner, who lives in the next village, is a professional chef and can cook evening meals at the house for 20€ per person (not incl wine). Cookery courses are also on offer. Cot and high chair. Bed linen and towels included.
