Position: Situated just 800 metres from the small town of Vermenton for food shopping, bars and restaurants with an excellent restaurant in the nearby hamlet of Accolay. The river Cure and the Canal de Nivernais are close by for fishing, boating and swimming. This is the heart of Northern Burgundy with the renowned wine-producing area of Chablis close by and the historic city of Auxerre 14 miles away. This former farm building now restored to a comfortable modern home sits right beside a crystal clear mill pond. A uniquely styled large swimming pool (irregular shape, one depth 1.4m with Roman steps) has been ingeniously designed to match the level of the spring water and to enable it to pass either side of the pool whilst remaining totally separate from the pool. This is shared with the guests at the mill house ‘chambres d’hôte’ within the same grounds. 
Accommodation:
Comfortably furnished in modern style with wood beamed ceiling and carpet throughout. The cleverly designed kitchen is built into the shape of the turret with hotplates, electric oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee-maker, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine. Iron and ironing board. The wooden staircase in the living/dining room leads to the first floor and the attic style bedrooms, one twin and a double leading to a small turret twin bedroom (ideal for children). Bathroom and separate wc. South facing terrace with garden furniture and parasol and garden area right beside the mill pond. Built in barbecue. A couple of bicycles and a canoe can be borrowed from the owners. We regret that this property is not suitable for children under eight owing to its proximity to water. Bed linen and towels included. Beds made on arrival.
