Superb villas, cottages and gites in Brittany

Blessed with warm summers, Brittany has an intriguing independent spirit. Book holiday villas, cottages and gites in Brittany and you'll find everything slightly, eerily familiar. The locals here have Celtic origins rather than French. They have their own unique culture, folklore and language. And the relentless pounding of the Atlantic ocean on three sides creates a sense of rugged isolation. A holiday villa in Brittany deliver landscapes that are often compared with Cornwall, especially on the dramatic west coast home to the Finistere peninsula, also know as the Landís Endí - end of the land. To the north the towering Pink Granite Coast is spectacular, especially at sunset. Huge cliffs arc around secluded bays. Giant giant boulders brood on the shores, smoothed by wind and water. And further east, fortified St Malo and Dinand guard the craggy shoreline. Fantastic!

Book a gite in Brittany and enjoy the spectacular southern coast, gentler and calmer with long, white family friendly beaches. Exploring the rock pools is great fun, for children and adult nature lovers alike! The rolling dunes are wonderful private picnic territory, and there are some stunning medieval walled towns in Vannes and Concarneau to explore. A holiday cottage in Brittany also delivers excitement inland. There are countless prehistoric megaliths, dolmens and menhirs dotting the landscape. Plus delightful thatched farmsteads, gothic churches, traditional markets, colourful fêtes and festivals. Wander through our Brittany holiday villas, gites and holiday cottages pages - your perfect Brittany self catering holiday starts here!

From the sea, mussels, oysters, crab and langoustine are plentiful, the seafood is excellent and cotriade, a hearty fish stew, is a local staple.
